Jack Fink of CBS11-TV reports that Santander Consumer USA is one of the most-complained-about businesses to BBB in Dallas -- and many of the complaints are about not getting car titles after paying off car loans.
Jeannette Kopko, spokesperson for the Better Business Bureau serving Dallas and Northeast Texas says, “We’re getting complaints here at the Dallas Better Business Bureau from customers all over the country ... That’s one of the businesses with the most complaints to the Dallas Better Business Bureau in 2010. In 2011, it was the business with the most complaints to the Dallas BBB, and so far in 2012, it’s the third most complained about business.”
Complaints to BBB are regarding failure to return the consumers' automobile title on a timely basis after the balance is paid, failure to properly account for payments, and collection practices.
