“You might see a lot of advertisements because companies know it’s the time of year you are looking for such a thing and they step up their advertising,” said Jeannette Kopko with the Dallas Better Business Bureau.

Be on the lookout for free trial offers that aren't so free, fine print in health club memberships, and your rights to clean up your credit on your own.
