Jonathan Betz of WFAA-TV, Ch. 8, Dallas - Fort Worth reports that one woman says a door to door salesman stole jewelry. The news report says that the vacuum cleaner salesman has a felony record.

“If you haven’t invited them there, and there’s a stranger at your doorstep, that’s who they are: a stranger," said Jeannette Kopko, spokesperson for the BBB serving Dallas and Northeast Texas.

Better Business Bureau advises not to let unsolicited salespersons into your home. For more tips on dealing with door to door salespeople, see
