Is your advertising creative? To find out, enter the 2013 AAF Dallas’ ADDY competition. This year's theme is: Ideas are your babies -- May the best babies win. Winners could go on to regional or national competition.
By the way, AAF Dallas (formerly Dallas Advertising League) has a strong tie to BBB serving Dallas and Northeast Texas -- it was the Dallas Advertising League that founded Better Business Bureau in Dallas in 1912. The city of Dallas experienced strong growth in the early years of the 20th century, and the advertising and business community sought to promote truth in advertising and public confidence in business.
BBB in Dallas still conducts local advertising review seeking voluntary cooperation with the BBB Code of Advertising, and also offers BBB Business Reviews, complaint processing, alerts and tips, and more. BBB in Dallas is one of 114 BBBs in the U.S. and Canada.
Today, AAF Dallas is one of 200 local advertising clubs of the national American Advertising Federation.
By entering the competition, your creative advertising could not only be recognized locally, but regionally (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and most of Louisiana) and nationally if it is as good as you think.
AAF Dallas’ campaign for the 2013 Dallas ADDYs competition is: You birthed it through your brain canal -- an advertising idea that you labored over, loved and then released it to the world. Now send it in, and we’ll decide if that idea baby is a real winner. Ideas are your babies -- May the best babies win.
To enter your baby, go to aafdallas.org for a link to this year’s registration page. The rules, the entry fees and all the categories are there. The deadline for entries is December 12, 2012. The evening event to announce the winners is February 20, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.
